Getting More Wear Out Of Nighttime Dresses

It's easy to forget your more dressy items when you are getting ready in the morning, but with a few key steps, you can start using them for daytime, too.

THE SLEEVELESS TRENCH

This coat can hide an exposed back or a too-low neckline, and it'll work perfectly for summer since it has no sleeves. Go for khaki for a professional look, or look to an olive for a more casual feel.

SANDALS AND FLATS

Skip the extra-high heels, and look for something that won't be out of place in the daytime. Sandals with thick straps and a lower heel or flats will do the trick.

MINIMAL JEWELRY

Use a few basics, and skip the heavy jewelry, which will lean toward nighttime. Instead, use jewelry to help polish your look.

TRANSFORM IT INTO ANOTHER ITEM

This particularly works well with body-hugging items. Pair a skirt over it, and it'll become a top. Or wear it with a crop top to make it a pencil skirt.
