When temperatures are hot and wearing layers or being creative with clothing isn't an option, turn to jewelry. It's a surefire way to add oomph to your look.

WORK
For work, a gold-platted necklace adds a bit of playfulness but does not veer into costumery. The coral straps on the Marc Jacobs watch brings in a bright color, so the clear earrings with a bit of gold tie in without overshadowing the other two pieces. A plain blue dress is the perfect accompaniment because it matches the gold and coral so well. Finish it off with neutral shoes, and the jewelry is easily the star of this look.
WEEKEND
Fun is the word that rules weekend jewelry, so look for whimsical or funky pieces. This giraffe necklace fits the bill. A stackable ring in silver matches it with the thin strands, and it can be livened up with this five-stack ring that can be worn completely on the other hand or on both. Since all the jewelry is the same color, finding something to match is easy. We chose a romper with a small print, so that the jewelry still stands out against it. And to not overcomplicate, we chose a sandal with some black in it. The other color just happens to be an almost silver.
NIGHT
It's all about glitz and glamour for nighttime. The bracelet is the showstopper here, and it is paired with complementary blue-green earrings. With jewelry so attention grabbing, it is all right to let your dress and shoes take a backseat.
