Having repeatedly come across Pamela Redman Stratan's lists, which detail what you should have and what you should know by the time you are 30, we were quite inspired. While we do not have as much experience in the real world to impart knowledge, we do have very clear ideas of what we want our 20s to be like.
So here's a list of 20-something things we want to accomplish before we are 30:
1. Start a career. This is one of our biggest priorities. We both know exactly what fields we want to go into, and now is our time to focus on these goals.

2. Lead a healthy lifestyle. Between running and Crossfit, we are committed to exercising. But we are always looking for ways to be better, especially with food. We both have a sweet tooth, and finding the right balance in this department is challenging.
3. Travel to a dream location. Visiting the one place we've always dreamed of is a must. And it's important to have the means to take full advantage of this vacation.
4. Give back to parents. Doing something incredible for the parents who have been there for more than 20 years easily belongs at the top of this list.
5. Love. Just as we are now, we hope to continue being lucky in love with significant others, family and friends.
6. Set up roots. Whether its finding the city that we will reside in long-term or having our own house, we want to find the place that is our home.
7. Learn a new language/improve at old ones. We're both bilingual, but we know we could always get better. But we might also feel the urge to take on a new language, which will come in handy in travel.
8. Work hard, but also have time for yourself. Your 20s are the perfect time to work hard to get ahead, but it's also necessary to not get lost in that role.
9. Enjoy the now. We may often wonder what the future will bring, but the present shouldn't be ignored. There are plenty things we are thankful for now, and we should take the time to appreciate it more.
10. Pay off debts/make a dent. School loans are our biggest debts. While it may be impossible to pay it all off in our 20s, it'll be nice to make progress.
11. Cook more and cook better. (This is particularly for me as I'm not very skilled in the kitchen.)
12. Do something we may not be brave enough to do later. It's kind of like how as a kid you were adventurous, but now, you wouldn't dare to try that same activity. So this is the time where we should do something we might be too afraid (or feel too old) to do in your 30s.
13. Drink lots of water. This goes hand in hand with leading a healthy lifestyle, but it's so necessary that it deserves its own bullet.

14. Take care of skin. Use sunscreen regularly and make the best decisions for your skin.
15. Learn to handle disappointment. It's going to continue to pop up, so learning how to handle it gracefully is a better alternative than whining and stewing.
16. Become smarter about Internet persona. The web is a place where people over share, and though it may often be harmless, it doesn't hurt to take some time before sending that Tweet.
17. Be greener. We've all got to do our part for the Earth.
18. Find that one piece of clothing you feel amazing in. This is the go-to item that makes you feel more confident for those days you need it.
19. Accept aging. It's going to happen regardless, so freaking out about it is pointless.
20. Find the best way to relieve stress.
21. Be happy with where you are in life.
