Adventurous Dressers

Sometimes the reason for watching movies and TV shows has less to do with the plot, and more to do with what happens in the costume department. Although there are times when you hit the jackpot and can enjoy both what's going on and what everyone is wearing.

But since this is mostly a fashion-focused site, we decided to highlight some of the most-attention grabbing style on both big and little screens. They may not be the most stylish, but they are brave and confident with their choices. (And the movies/shows aren't too bad either.)

1. Molly Ringwald in everything, especially "Pretty In Pink"

1, 2, 3, 4
It's no question that all of Molly Ringwald's characters had spectacular style, but Andie Walsh was in her own league. She doesn't come from money, so she makes the clothes she wants to wear.

2. Sarah Jessica Parker in "Sex And The City"
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
Carrie Bradshaw is easily one of the most recognized fashionistas. What's best about Bradshaw is that she doesn't go for the expected. She'll wear anything from a big flower to a tutu. She doesn't live her life by just one set of rules. She experiments. She can go from sleek and sexy clothes to over-the-top. We're guessing a closet full of Manolos would encourage anyone to try different styles.

3. Isla Fisher in "Confessions Of A Shopaholic"
1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Rebecca Bloomwood is a designer addict, but her style is also characterized by color mixed with a bit more color.

4. Alicia Silverstone in "Clueless"
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
When Cher Horowitz isn't wearing Alaïa, she sticks to plaids, matching blazer and skirts and knee-high socks.

5. Lisa Bonet on "The Cosby Show"
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9
Maybe it's because her sisters were either too young to have developed their own style or too old to pull
off disheveled chic, but it was obvious that Denise Huxtable's wardrobe was outstanding. The key to pulling off her style seems to be by making your hair the center of attention through scarves or just big hair, but she also looks to bright ensembles to keep things interesting. The great part about this character is that because it was on for eight seasons, there's plenty of growth and change in her style as she changed from teenager to young woman.

6. Tori Spelling in "90210"
1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Donna Martin is another California girl whose style makes you notice her. Out of all the girls on the

show, she was the funkiest. From Halloween to school dances, she always took her choices up a notch.

7. Vivien Leigh in "Gone With The Wind"

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7
There's not much differentiation in Scarlett O'Hara's time period, but she still manages to make an impact. From wearing the latest fashions from Paris to wearing lots of red to Ashley's birthday party after she is caught having an intimate moment with him, O'Hara was definitely not one to play it safe. She even had a dress made out of curtains, and still managed to carry herself with confidence.
