Fun Jeans By Body Type

While regular blue jeans are classic, printed and colored ones can add something special to your wardrobe. But as we are not all built the same, we'll show you exactly how to approach fun pants.

APPLE

Go as bold as you like because you want to bring as much attention to your lower body.

Big prints, bright leather pants and interesting graphics will only help balance out your top half, so go wild. Remember to keep the color palette light up top.

BANANA

Since there isn't a lot of difference in the measurements of your bust, waist and hips, the kind of pant you wear is highly dependent on the top you use.
Étoile Isabel Marant, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Rag & Bone
Pants with details in the pocket area means that you should use form-fitting tops. But a large top can be paired with a skinny jean that has a small print, and if the print looks anything like the Rag & Bone pair, let it do all the talking. That kind of print just adds weight.

HOURGLASS

With a small waist and hips and bust of similar proportions, you want to make sure that you mirror your top and your bottom.
Wood Wood, DL1961 and Adriano Goldschmied
High-waisted pants are a natural place to start because they highlight your tiny waist. But if you want to try different silhouettes, then look for jeans that don't draw attention to just your hips.

PEAR

Pears wants to take attention away from their bottom halves.
Current/ Elliott, J. Crew and Fade to Blue
Pastels and dark colors will be your best friend. You always want the wash of this jean to have less of an impact than your shirts, and though small prints are the most ideal, you can also wear larger prints that can be muted by a bright-colored top.
