Emmys 2012 Red Carpet

Even if we are busy with fashion week posts, we never miss a red carpet.

Here were our favorites for Sunday night's Emmys.

Jessica Paré in Jason Wu

It's a fairly simple gown, but with enough details to make it interesting. She looks glamorous, and even works in a little bit of color with that green ring.

Leslie Mann in Naeem Khan

Right off the bat, Leslie Mann's dress offers something different because it looks like separates. The bottom part of the gown is a beautiful golden color, and is balanced by a very delicate beaded top half. Though we would have probably held off on wearing both the earrings and the bracelet, there's no denying that Mann looks amazing.

January Jones in Zac Posen

January Jones never goes for the conventional. She seems intent on setting herself apart from her "Mad Men" character, Betty. The voluminous dress was tiered and sheer, and we think sleeker shoes that would balance out the size of the skirt is the only thing that would make it better.

Zooey Deschanel in Reem Acra

Zooey Deschanel chose a pretty, pale blue number for the Emmy Awards. It's a princessy dress, but she looked lovely. It's also not too light, so it doesn't wash her out.

Kerry Washington in Vivienne Westwood

Just like every award show red carpet needs a princess dress, it also needs a glitzy gown. She kept her accessories at a minimum to allow the dress to sparkle, and the dress had a pretty rose gold undertone that gave it a different feel.

Tina Fey in Vivienne Westwood

This is her silhouette. She's worn mermaid gowns and big details, but this makes her look amazing. It's also a nice color for her. We've seen her in enough navy and black dresses, and we this is a welcome change. It's not a crazy color, but it really is infinitely more interesting.

Hayden Panettiere in Marchesa

Hayden Panettiere wore a beautifully draped, Bollywood-inspired gown, and she has never looked better. The colors look gorgeous on her, and she didn't go too sweet or too sexy. It was perfect.

Sofia Vergara in Zuhair Murad

Sofia Vergara is perpetually drawn to the mermaid silhouette, and though this Zuhair Murad isn't too much of a departure, it sure works better than her usual look. It's much more body hugging and doesn't flare out as much at the bottom. (It also looks easier to walk in than her other choices.) Everything from the color to her accessories really work well together.
