Halfway through fashion month, and we're still feeling jazzed about what's to come.
Here's how day five went:
Roksanda Ilincic

Vibrant colors were everywhere at the Roksanda Ilincic show. Whether it was used in oversized collars, accessories, piping or on high-waisted pants, it was everywhere and had a '70s flair. The flowy chiffon sleeves and drop-waist dresses were most reminiscent of that era, but the graphics gave it a 20123 update.
Emilio de la Morena

Ruffles and pleats in hems, necklines and pretty much in every piece can quickly steer a collection into too girly and over-the-top, but Emilio de la Morena knew exactly how to give his Spring 2013 collection an edgy vibe. With sheer fabrics in almost-too-revealing locations, catsuits that seem too cool for dainty details and strong square patterns made of thick lines, it now becomes sexed up. It's a great mix of both sweet and flirty, and neither overtakes the other.

With white eyelet dresses, neon, voluminous peplums covering and uneven bangs covering the spectrum from innocent to disorderly, it makes sense that Simone Rocha's collection was, as the line sheets said, a reflection of youth in all its purity and unruliness.
