NYFW may not officially start until Sept. 6, but there are plenty of collections that have been presented as of Wednesday night.
Here's what we have spotted so far:
1. Organic by John Patrick

If an uncomplicated color palette and comfort are at the top of your priority list when it comes to clothes, then this collection is for you. With separates that can be easily mixed-and-matched together and incorporated into what you already own, Organic takes a very simple approach to clothing. That's not to say that it's a bore. There are sheer hemlines, textured pieces and something kind of quirky about the results.
2. Whit

There's a tropical feel with the greenery found in prints, loose silhouettes and face-covering hats, but most importantly, from one model to the next, there's a smooth transition. But the piece that was a showstopper for us was that woven circular purse with a bright line running vertically.
3. Tanya Taylor

A sweet checkered print was used throughout the collection, and it came in oranges, grays and blues. If there's a lot of belly baring next spring and summer, this is going to be the reason why. Everything borders the casual/dressy line, so these pieces will be fun to glamorize or simplify.
