It seemed like a day heavy on menswear presentations, but there were also a lot of red carpet type dresses presented.
Here's what we loved:
Narciso Rodriguez was inspired by a Lygia Clark exhibition. "I came back and everything in my life was about color and asking how do you mix color in interesting ways, which is sort of a different road for me," he said. And he really went bold with this theme. Lots of vibrant colors were mixed together, but he kept the same sleek silhouettes he's known for.
C.Z. Guest, Babe Paley and Millicent Rogers inspired this Dennis Basso collection, and he delivered a super glamorous collection. He took little pieces of each and melded them together. "They all had a signature," he said. "C.Z. Guest always wore a sweater over her shoulders. Babe Paley took a shoulder brooch and put it on her hip." And there was lots of fur, but that's the area that it especially looked modern.
